What data we process

Browsing data. The servers hosting the site record IP address, date and time of the request, requested page, response status and browser type, for the time needed for security and diagnostics. This data is not used to identify users, nor combined with other information.

Voluntary communications. The site has no contact forms: people write from their own mail client or call us. In that case we process the email address, the phone number and everything contained in the message, including unsolicited job applications and CVs.

People featured on the site. The About and Partnership pages show names, roles, photographs and statements of colleagues and designers, all published with their consent.

Restricted area. For those who manage the content we process name, email address, encrypted credentials and, for security reasons, the IP address and browser of the session.

Cookies. The site only uses technical cookies. Details are in the cookie policy.

Why we process it, and on what legal basis

  • Running the site and protecting it from abuse and malfunction: legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
  • Answering enquiries and quotations, and performing the relationship that follows: pre-contractual and contractual measures (Art. 6.1.b).
  • Assessing job applications: pre-contractual measures at the data subject's request (Art. 6.1.b).
  • Publishing photographs, names and statements of identifiable people: consent of the data subject (Art. 6.1.a), which can be withdrawn at any time.
  • Complying with legal, tax and accounting obligations: Art. 6.1.c.

How long we keep it

  • Server logs: a few days, unless needed to investigate abuse.
  • Emails and commercial enquiries: as long as needed to handle them and, where a relationship begins, for its duration plus the ten years required by civil and tax law.
  • Unsolicited applications: twenty-four months at most, then deleted.
  • Content published on the site: as long as consent stands or the collaboration is current.
  • Restricted-area sessions: seven days, then they expire.

Who we share data with

Data is neither disclosed publicly nor sold. It may be processed, as data processors appointed under Art. 28 GDPR, by the technical suppliers that keep the site running: Hetzner Online GmbH, which hosts servers and image storage in Germany, and the supplier that maintains the site. Company advisers may also access it where required by legal, tax or litigation needs.

Images published inside Magazine articles are served directly from Hetzner storage: opening those pages means your browser sends its IP address to that supplier, which operates within the European Union.

Transfers outside the European Union

We do not transfer data to third countries. Servers and storage are located within the European Union.

Automated decision-making

We use no automated decision-making and no profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

Your rights

You may at any time request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest (Arts. 15-22 GDPR). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

To exercise these rights, write to info@diegi.com. We reply within one month. If you believe the processing infringes the Regulation you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it) or bring the matter before a court.
