The origins
At fifteen, Gilberto Fiorin joins the joinery founded by his father. He learns the trade at the bench, hands on the wood. Everything else grows from there.

From a village joinery to a partner of international studios. Sixty years in five chapters.

1965
At fifteen, Gilberto Fiorin joins the joinery founded by his father. He learns the trade at the bench, hands on the wood. Everything else grows from there.

1975
Ten years later production changes gear: from doors and windows to kitchens and bespoke furniture. Diegi is founded in 1975 and grows in the furniture world, working with shops and showrooms in Italy and abroad and moving the craft towards high-end bespoke work.

2004
Matteo, Gilberto's son, joins the company. With him the company looks beyond its borders and specialises in custom-made work. The first collaborations with architects and designers begin.

2015
Marianna, Matteo's sister, moves to New York and works as an architect in a major studio there. Her experience opens the American market to the company, and a different way of working next to designers.

Today
In recent years the company has grown technically, organisationally and managerially, to handle more complex projects and an international clientele. Selected suppliers came on board for marble, metal and upholstery: all bespoke, all made with the same care, as one turnkey service. Today Diegi design is the partner of architects and designers who want to see their drawing built the way they imagined it.
